What traction did Maria have before raising?

Maria's traction before fundraising:

  • Had approximately $15K in monthly recurring revenue (MRR)
  • Three months from first pitch to signed term sheet
  • Multiple VCs said they wouldn't have taken the meeting six months earlier without that traction
  • Investors in 2026 want to see real traction, not just a slide deck

Frequently asked questions

Can I transcribe a podcast from an RSS feed URL?
You can paste a direct audio link from your RSS feed and Mediata will download and transcribe it. We support MP3, M4A, and other common podcast audio formats served via direct URLs.
How long can a podcast episode be?
There is no hard limit on episode length. We regularly process episodes that are 2-3 hours long. Longer recordings simply take proportionally more time to transcribe.
Does it detect different speakers automatically?
Yes. Mediata uses speaker diarization to identify and label different voices in the recording. You can rename speakers after transcription for clarity in the final output.
Can I generate show notes automatically?
Absolutely. Once your episode is transcribed, you can ask the AI chat to produce a summary, key takeaways, timestamps for topics discussed, or any other format you need for show notes.
What export formats are available?
You can export transcripts as plain text, SRT subtitles, or VTT captions. The timestamped transcript view also lets you copy individual segments or the entire conversation.
How accurate is the transcription?
Accuracy depends on audio quality, but for typical podcast recordings with clear speech and minimal background noise, you can expect 95%+ accuracy. Specialized terminology may occasionally need manual correction.
Can I transcribe episodes in languages other than English?
Yes. Mediata supports transcription in multiple languages. The speech recognition model handles English, Russian, Spanish, and many other languages. You can also transcribe multilingual episodes where speakers switch languages.
